I recently collaborated with composer Alex Temple on a piece for the fantastic Parlour Tapes in Chicago–please check it out here!

Inspired by two different memory lacunae–Alex’s mis-remembering of the location of an office park near her childhood home, and my inability to account for a memory relayed to me by a long-ago friend about a lost night in early-2000s Manhattan–“It’s Hard Even to Say It” was composed in two separate parts and fused together, yet comprises processed bits of material from a series of audio journals Alex and I started keeping back in April and May of 2013.

Parlour Tapes released the piece on their second collaborative album, *AND, which is available for purchase on my favorite analog medium, cassette tape. Get it here!
